Meet The Shoguns

Teri Mitchell

Terue Mitchell

Manager

Welcome to Shogun, where the essence of authentic Japanese cuisine meets the artistic flair of teppanyaki (hibachi). Our passionate leader, Teri Mitchell, infuses the true essence of Japanese flavors into Shogun Japanese Steakhouse and Sakura Sushi. You see, she’s a native of the vibrant city of Yokohama, Japan. Ever since she joined the team in 2009, she has brought touches of her heritage to all aspects of our restaurants. At Shogun and Sakura, every meal is a performance. Every dish a journey into Japanese culture. Behind the scenes weaving everything together is Teri’s expertise and warm hospitality.

Roland Orallo

Roland Orallo

Teppan Chef

The legend behind Teppan Chef Roland starts in Guam. Decades ago, far from our Orlando Japanese steakhouse, Roland trained with Japanese chefs learning their traditional food preparation and knife skills. His talent and skills in Japanese cuisine landed him roles in several renowned Japanese restaurants, including Genji Japanese restaurant (in Hilton Guam). In the early nineties, he moved to Orlando and joined Rosen Hotels & Resorts. Since then, Chef Roland has been cooking, entertaining, serving and mesmerizing guests of Shogun Japanese Steakhouse and leading the Shogun culinary crew for a decade. Steaks are his specialty with guests saying they’re heavenly.

Eutemio Medina Arboleda

Eutimio Esneider Medina

Sushi Chef

Sushi Chef Eutimio’s culinary skills spread across many styles of cuisine. At Sakura Sushi, we get to experience his respect and dedication for the art of sushi. “Fortunately, I found excellent mentors, who transmitted all their knowledge and love for the art of sushi making,” says Chef Eutimio recounting his time studying under Japanese sushi chefs in San Fransisco, CA. Since joining the Rosen family as a sushi chef in 2017, he has rolled in his 27 years of culinary knowledge and high standards into the sushi he presents to guests so as to create unique dining experiences for everyone.

Tam Nguyen

Tam Nguyen

Teppan Chef

After years of working in Vietnamese restaurants, Chef Tam found an opportunity to learn teppanyaki. He was hooked immediately on the popular and entertaining Japanese style of cooking. It matched his fun nature and humor. Notorious for his jokes, he quickly became a guest favorite. It’s no surprise for a chef with 30 years of experience, who loves his job and Shogun, and whose motto is, “Customer first, make them laugh.” When he’s not telling jokes and cooking up a storm on the teppanyaki grill, he spends quality time with his family. He also likes to play with their five cats, enjoys listening to music, and dancing.

Francheska Figuera

Saori Washington

Hostess

When you walk into Shogun Japanese Steakhouse, Saori is most likely the first person you will meet. As hostess, she welcomes everyone. She loves listening to the guests’ stories about their travel experiences. Saori is a traveler herself having moved to Orlando from Japan in 2013. Since her move, Saori has been building her career in the hospitality industry. She sincerely and mindfully greets, serves, and bids every guest farewell. Saori encourages all to return saying, “Shogun is a unique restaurant in a convenient location that is close to many of Orlando’s famous destinations.” She would love it if you stopped by to enjoy a delicious and entertaining meal in our cozy space. “Let us help you make happy memories!” says Saori.

Yadeliz Guzman

Server

Interacting with guests from all around the world and adding to their experience at Shogun Japanese Steakhouse is Yadeliz (Yadi) most favorite part of her day. She’s enjoyed this interaction with travelers for a long while; she started at Rosen Inn as a front desk agent then moved to Shogun as a server. Her time at our Japanese steakhouse on International Drive has been meaningful. “My work environment is delightful. The people I work with are respectful. I would like to continue being a server and assisting guests to the best of my ability,” says Yadeliz.

Through her experience at Shogun Japanese Steakhouse, first as a hostess and then as a server, she continues to grow professionally and connect with various cultures, particularly Japanese.
